Metrodate.com is an international dating site covering over 20 different countries. Metrodate has been 100% free to use since June 2009. It hasn’t received much in the way of mainstream attention, but has a nice blend of free dating resources and the usual stacks of profiles.
Why Is Metrodate Different?
Metrodate isn’t just a dating site. It also offers free relationship advice where members can ask questions and receiver answers to their problems with love (I’d be there all night). We’re not quite sure how relevant this is going to be to a predominantly single crowd, but it’s a nice touch. Metrodate is also internationally successful and translated in to over 20 different countries. It’s unusual for a dating site to spread the net so wide. Whether you’re tucked away in the suburbs or traveling overseas, you can use Metrodate to find singles who won’t be a plane ticket away.

You enjoy a more community-driven dating experience. If you like nosing in on other members’ problems, or simply enjoy a bit of candid advice, Metrodate should be up your street. We’d also recommended Metrodate for singles abroad who aren’t sure where to find dates.
Don’t Join If…
You shiver to the bone at the sight of a suspiciously fake profile. We’ve found a couple. It doesn’t look to be as bad on Metrodate as some other high profile dating sites we could mention, but there are still some fakes.

Most members seem to be reporting a fairly happy experience with Metrodate, although you can never be sure how many have walked away with their heads in their hands refusing to talk about it! The site has great international reach, connecting millions of members around the world, and the fact that it’s free means you have little to lose in giving it a shot. Metrodate remains a very popular dating site for travelers abroad.
