“The Most Serious Dating Site?”
Parship Review
Parship.com is not the dating site to visit if you’re looking for some rough and tumble after a Monday night on the town. It’s a predominantly UK-based dating site catering for professionals and world weary individuals who don’t want to waste endless hours trawling through profiles to find somebody worth messaging. Parship is pretty smart at matching singles to compatible partners, but it has some kinks below the surface.
Why Is Parship Different?
We had to laugh when we saw the press release distributed by Parship about their service:
“PARSHIP.co.uk is the UK’s first compatibility-based online dating service, specifically for people who want to form a lasting relationship.”
Well, I may not be the world’s most seasoned online dater, but I’m guessing the point of MOST online dating services is to help people form lasting relationships. Talk about preaching the bleeding obvious. Alas, Parship is different from many dating websites in that it places a very high precedence on being “serious” about finding love.
Parship caters for busy professionals and those who don’t buy the shallow vanity of many other matchmaking services. It does a good job to that extent. It’s populated with much fewer time wasters, sparser instances of “the MySpace pose” and it does have the much vaunted “Compatibility Test” which is actually pretty effective at first glance.
Join If…
You’re a professional who doesn’t have much spare time on the hands. Parship has a great Compatibility Test that will filter out the irrelevant matches and leave you with some users that are probably worth messaging. Parship has a strong community in the UK, but it’s not very well known outside the isles. We’d recommend looking elsewhere if you’re not based in the UK.
Don’t Join If…
You get frustrated at the thought of chasing down a company to cancel your subscription. Parship forces you to contact them if you want to cancel your membership, which can be a pain in the arse if you’re one of the “busy professionals” the site is trying to capture.
Parship Review
Parship cuts to the chase like a knife through butter with it’s Compatibility Test. You can save yourself a lot of time that would have otherwise been sent messaging randomers without a hope in Hell of a reply. Parship certainly has it’s flaws. The company needs to work on customer service for a start. But for singles living busy lives, this place works as a “serious” dating service where you won’t be plagued with the time wasters that you’d normally find elsewhere. Worth checking out.
